Everybody must buy this album if don’t have it yet, it’s the best and last CD from the late great Nick Curran. Starting this album with Wild Lover from Etta James, man what a great version this shows so much the influence of Little Richard! Second song Real Rock Party this is the real...

Finn & The Sharks
Submitted by hankabilly (20 May 2016)
his New York band merges country, roots Americana, taking in Rockabilly and more. Packed with well crafted original songs, played with precision, and led by a good strong vocal. The guitar playing is a delight, and the upright bass and drums solid. The songwriting is top-notch, mixing moody ballads if you like Chris Isaak...

The Rockats
Submitted by dcltrueleft (29 February 2016)
Some cats got it...In my first-hand estimation, the Rockats and Robert Gordon prowled the crest of the 70s/80s revival wave. So it's only fitting that in 2014 they all located at Lanark Records - their presence at the surging upstart imprint elevating it in importance. The original 'Cats are here - world-class singer Dibbs...
Tremors
Submitted by dcltrueleft (29 February 2016)
Jimmy Tremor (nee Gardner), leader of North Carolina's hell-bent hillbilly rockers the Tremors, has ensured that they varied little over the course of 10 years and five CDs. There was and is no need. A backwoods Americana visionary, Tremor was onto something good from the start. The feral cats howling at the fractured, midnight blood moon,...
Robert Gordon
Submitted by dcltrueleft (29 February 2016)
As an RG fan who first heard The Voice on 1975's "Live at CBGB's" double LP, I couldn't be happier with this disc - a strapping reaffirmation of supremacy. Robert has for years percolated on undersung releases (like 2006 Last Call disc "Rockin the Paradiso," and 2007's "It's Now or Never," on Rykodisc.) For...
