Patrick Ouchene (from Runnin' Wild) is already in Russia, preparing for Eurovision Song contest that will be held on 16th of May. The reason is not to learn Russian and Russian culture, but meet friends and make extra shows in Moscow and St-Petersburg. Recently he received an invitation from famous rock'n'roll club Money Honey, but some days later they changed their mind and cancelled the gig....

Another country singer, Vern Gosdin, passed away

Singer-songwriter Vern Gosdin, who achieved mainstream country success in the '80s with hits such as "Set 'Em Up Joe" and "Chiseled in Stone," died late Tuesday (April 28) at a Nashville hospital at age 74.

Brian Steele is killed in an accident

Yesterday, 28th of April 2009, member of the band of Fiddle & Steel Guitar Bar, Brian Steele, was killed in an accident as he drove his motorcycle. He died doing something he loved to do, but all of those who came to know and love him for his easy smile, wonderful drumming and selfless friendship are left with this deep loss in their hearts.


Frankie Manning dies at 94

Frankie "Musclehead" Manning, a Harlem dancer and Tony Award-winning choreographer widely celebrated as one of the pioneers of the Lindy Hop (was considered one of the founding fathers of this style), a breathlessly acrobatic swing dance style of the 1930s and '40s, died April 27 at New York City's Lenox Hill Hospital of pneumonia. Helms elected to Monroe Hall of Fame

Pat Lucas, a tireless advocate for people in poverty, and one-time country music sensation Bobby Helms have been voted into the Monroe County Hall of Fame.

The two were picked from 10 nominees on ballots in The Herald-Times and on Helms was the highest vote-getter, with Lucas finishing second.

Police in Omaha, Nebraska located two bodies Sunday night (March 29, 2009) in a residence identified as Robert "Andy" Anderson and his wife Karla.
