Furious make music video with channel 4

After hearing some of Furious' new songs from their un-released album, Antix Productions renowned for creating the infamous T.V show 'Most Haunted' and various other programmes, contacted the teenage trio with an interest to make a music video.

They heard the tracks after using the same recording studio in Reading a couple of months ago and instantly took to the band with their style.

A formal dress of Patsy Cline on auction

A formal dress, once belonging to Patsy Cline will be auctioned on April 9 by Heritage Auctions in Beverly Hills, CA.

The pink dress which carries a flower motif on the front, has a label attached with the words "Patsy Cline Las Vegas in 1962". Patsy performed in it the Mint Theatre in Las Vegas in November and December 1962....

Virginia Rocks! brings back memories

A gallery guide for "Virginia Rocks! The History of Rockabilly in the Commonwealth" is now available to compliment the exhibit on display at the Blue Ridge Institute and Museum on the Ferrum College campus.

Roddy Moore, director of the BRI, said the guides were received from the printer last week and will be available until the exhibit closes the end of May.

Dale Hawkins, R. I. P.

Rock And Roll Pioneer Dale Hawkins passed away Saturday February 13, 2010 in North Little Rock, Arkansas after losing his battle with colon cancer.

Dale is best remembered for the hit Susie Q and other early rockabilly records on the Checker Label a subsidiary of Chess Records. Dale wrote, produce, and performed live until the last few weeks....

Carl Smith, country music hitmaker, has died

Carl Smith, the dapper singer who ranked among the most popular country hitmakers of the 1950s (and also the first husband of June Carter), died on Saturday at his home in Franklin, Tenn., just outside Nashville. He was 82.
