Manchester based rockabilly band 'The Crawdads' will be playing their last gig this Saturday at the Preston Rock 'n' Roll club.
The band is not splitting up, but due to personal reasons (the singer re locting to Australia) the band can't carry on playing for time being.

Bo Diddley, rock'n'roll pioneer, was in stable condition at a Gainesville hospital after suffering a heart attack, his publicist said Tuesday.

The 78-year-old singer-guitarist complained of dizziness and nausea during a routine medical checkup Friday, said his publicist, Susan Clary.

Madmen turned away from UK

Croatian cats The Mad Men were billed to play at last week's Lowton's Nifty 50's rockabilly show, but were turned away by immigration officers at the airport in London. The band was carrying guitars, the presence of which was questioned by officers and as the band didn't have appropriate performers visas. They were refused entry and flew back home.

Fats Domino receives replacement Gold Discs and Legendary Status award

Legendary piano man Fats Domino has been given the reproductions of all of his Gold Discs which were lost in the musician's house in the devastating New Orleans flooding.
He has also been named as the Recording Industry Association of America's second music legend, after Johnny Cash.

American wild cats, Al, Tony, Hugh and Eric, are now in the process of recording a new limited edition 7" EP with 6 songs. 5 self penned songs and one cover are being recording during their heavy tour schedule.
