US record producer Jerry Wexler, who influenced the careers of singers including Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles and Bob Dylan, has died aged 91.
David Ritz, co-author of Mr Wexler's memoirs, said the producer passed away at his home in Sarasota, Florida.
Mr Wexler rose to fame as a partner in the influential Atlantic Records label with the late Ahmet Ertegun.

Dom Helms, steel guitar player for Hank Williams's Drifting Cowboys
Band has died at the age of 81 at Nashville's Skyline Medical Center on Monday 11 August 2008. He suffered a heart attack. He not only played an important part in the sound of Hank Williams, but also was involved in recording classic tunes with such greats as Lefty Frizzell and Patsy Cline.
