Four Tops star Levi Stubbs dies

Levi Stubbs, lead singer of legendary Motown band The Four Tops, has died at his home in Detroit, US, aged 72.
The performer, who had suffered ill-health for several years, passed away in his sleep.

Little Richard London Gig postponed

Little Richard's November 20 gig in London (with Little Willie Littlefield & Mike Sanchez) has been postponed.
Mr. Penniman has recently had hip replacement surgery and does not have doctor's authorisation to perform.
Therefore, the gig is to be postponed until sometime in March 2009.

One of the most popular and longest running variety shows in the history of television, HEE HAW returned to a regular weekly TV slot for the first time in over ten years. The vintage HEE HAW episodes anchor RFD-TV’s new Sunday night line-up at 8pm EST, 7pm CST, 6pm MST, and 5pm PST. RFD-TV airs the HEE HAW episodes in the same order they originally aired.

Johnny Cash’s music lives on in The Tennessee Three. The Man in Black’s former band returns to the Cowichan Theatre Thursday, November the 2nd.

Cash’s former guitarist Bob Wootton will share stories and tunes about the life, times and tunes of Cash.

'Guitar Man' Jerry Reed has died

Country legend Jerry Reed died at the age of 71 on 1st September.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia he moved to Nashville in 1961 to pursuit his songwriter career. His first hit was 'Guitar Man' (1967) which was covered by Elvis Presley soon after.

He is well known for the song 'Amos Moses' which reached the top 10 US charts, but his biggest hit...
