For years I played bass in Holland with a rockabilly band. I started in 1988 as a rhythm guitar player/singer but switched at the end of 1999 to bass.
From that moment on my career as a rockabilly musician has been changing as sky rocket. I played with bands such as Red Shots, King Size Trio, Miss Mary Ann, Reno Brothers, Lil’ Esther and The Tinstars. With them I played at the High Rockabilly festival in 2006. The same year I played on The Hollywood Showdown in L.A, USA. During our American tour we played in six different states. We started in Chicago where we stayed at Jimmy Suttons house; moved up north to Stevens Point, played in Oneida casino in Green Bay; went down heading Denver; crossed the Rocky’s and passed the Nevada dessert. We did Riverside, San Diego, Anaheim and ended in L.A.
I like to play classic rockabilly. It has to be a little wild and agressive, but never to fast or to loud and it should be danceable. That's why my credo: Dance, Dance People.
In 2004 I met a Russian band called the Phantoms. With them I recorded my first album "What's The Rumór". With them I discovered that Russian bands like Phantoms , Neva River Rockets and later the Tri-Tones (from Estonia) are easy to work with. They will do everything to let you look good. The nice thing is that I slso have the chance to play in Estonia and Russia with these great bands.
In 2009 I released my 2nd album "Mixed Up".
Of course we don’t have many chances to work together, because of the distance between our countries. That make this project special to all other rockabilly acts. So if you have the chance to see us please take the effort to do that and come out to meet us!
I allready played in: Amsterdam, Paris, Hamburg, Nurnberg, Berlin, Bonn, Barcelona, Geneve, Lausanne, Vienna, Stockholm, Helsinki, Tallinn, New Castle, Coventry, Saint-Petersburg, Moscow, Chigaco, Denver, San Diego & L.A to mention a few. Next year I'm playing at the Rockabilly Rave!
And maybe next time your hometown?
