Even though I am an amateur songwriter and music lover, recently I worked together with film director Martin Koolhoven (sadly enough for an unfinished film), pop magazine founder and film documentary maker for national television Constant Meijers (for his book Kom Van Dat Dak Af).
I got also a German rockabillyband Heckenjecks succesfully into the very commercial Cologne (Germany) carnival which resulted in a record contract for them with EMI Records.
I have advised American rockabilly band Al & The Black Cats to go for their first European tour. They also recorded my song White Cadillac on their debut album The Fabulous Sound Of on Rooby Records (subsidiary of MCA).
To say more, I provided the German subtitles for the debut DVD by René Shuman & Angel-Eye (4 national hits).
I also presented million selling band Matchbox as festival presenter.
Myself released a debut album (my songbook so to say) on a Swiss label with songs recorded in Berlin and Luxembourg. Album is available in Japan, Russia, USA, Canada, most countries of Western Europe. It's the first album by a non-blind artist worldwide with backcover in braille. Liner notes were written by drummer Bob Burgos from Matchbox fame. In the promotion were involved yesterdays celebrities like Kitty Houston (recorded her first record with Conway Twitty's Lonely Blue Boys in which her husband played and is close friend to Wanda Jackson, Ronnie Haig (recorded at Chess Records, known from Chuck Berry which he had met there) and Roy Cost (recorded at famous studio of Bill Black (Elvis' double bass player) in 1964).
Previously I also wrote a 450 page book: Rock & Roll Rond De Wereld. Have been on television with this (RTL5) and on national radio (AVRO). Now I have been writing reviews for a Dutch/Belgian rock & roll lifestyle magazine.
I even had a radioshow for several years at a local radiostation and did over 90 interviews with live performances by guests from eight countries (partly they came extra from those countries: e.g. Burt Blanca (scoring platinum and gold records) came extra from France, my musical friend Rick Hardy: the true founder of Cliff Richard & The Shadows, resident at he legendary coffeebar The 2 I's, the birthplace of British rock & roll, could be seen in the cultmovie Trainspotting and was the one who paved the way for the Beatles in Hamburg with his band The Jets (containing Tony Sheridan), came extra from London and Guiness Books Of Records winner Jack Favor came extra from Hamburg for my local (!) radioshow in the ultimate south). Alvin Stardust (formerly known as Shane Fenton) recorded an exclusive interview for me.
I presented The Story Of Rick Hardy on stage with Rick himself and Brian Locking from Cliff Richard & The Shadows fame.
The Gretsch guitar company showed interest in my self penned song I Got A Girl Named Gretsch.
I wrote the sleeve notes for Bob Burgos' most recent album Destination Rockin'.
I'm a member of Buma/Stemra, Palm and ISA (Int. Songwriter Ass.)
I've written some 130 songs since 2002 (all registered with Buma/Stemra). I record my songs with (semi-)professional bands in Berlin and Luxembourg.
The songs here have been recorded in Luxembourg and Berlin.
