The online lessons of slappin’ bass are introduced by Hans Nelemans specially for Rockabilly Bash website.




Explanation of lesson four:

First the E tone (lose E string): Than

1. G# - B – C# - E – C# - B - G#. Play this 1 time. (Bass walk)

Continue with

2. A count till 4 (Country style slappin’)
3. E - G# - B – C# - E – C# - B - G#. Play this 1 time. (Bass walk)
4. B count till 4 (Country style slappin’)
5. E - G# - B – C# - E – C# - B - G#. Play this 1 time. (Bass walk)

Or if you want to crazy, put yourself to the limit, turn it around. So

1. E count till 4 (Country style slappin’)
2. A (Lose A String) – C# - E – F# - A – F# - E - C#. Play 1 time. (Bass walk)
3. E count till 4 (Country style slappin’)
4. B (on A string) D# - F# - G# – B – G# – F# - D#. 1 time. (Bass walk)
5. E count till 4 (Country style slappin’)

Now you played exactly the same schedule as in lesson two. But now with walking the bass and country style slappin’.

Don’t forget to keep on practising the first three lessons. You should grown custom to the counting’s of the EAB blues scale.

Your homework for next time.
How should sound all of this sounds if you are playing in the key of A? The schedule is ADE
Find out the notes and positions.

If this is to easy for you. Do the same in other Key’s like
GCD
DGA
CFG
Etc, etc…

This is fantastic as I am a music novice and hans explains it so that it looks easy to learn , please do some more and close up of left hand movements , just awesome
